Lightning Strike Carbon mirage?

the Lightning Strike Carbon Edition looks sharp from a distance but as you get near it, things change. Like a painting that looks good on the wall but up close you see the flaws.

i'm not saying it's bad but the finish and details seem off. There must be ways improve the surface maybe some protective coating or something.
